This bike is about 3 years old and is in excellent condition having seen very little use. I know every one says that when selling an electric bike - but nevertheless it is true! This bike cost £1950 new and I bought it a few weeks ago from the man who was the original owner and had been taken ill. I went to his house and it was stored in his garage and in an almost new condition - no marks on the rims, wear on the chain or even dirt on the wheels. He had always maintained the battery.
The battery shows all 5 lights fully charged but I believe it is running at about 80% capacity - which would be expected from a 3 year old battery whether it has been used much or not. It should give many years of service - thousands of this same battery are still running after 8 years. However - even if you are concerned about the battery on a used bike - you could by an additional new one
- having a second is always very useful - this would give an enormous combined range and would still be much cheaper than buying a similar specced bike new.
Replacement batteries are easily obtainable and now would have far greater range the current Panasonic is a huge 18Ah. There is also a German made clone that reviews say is every bit as good and sells for significantly less money.
