This is another one of our excellent ladies road bikes.
Refurbished to a very high standard this bike has been custom built from the frame upwards by our Cytech 3 level in-house mechanic.
Viner bikes are one of the less well known bike companies that were founded in Italy in 1947. They have always had a super reputation but have constantly played the bridesmaid to other smaller Italian manufacturers like Wilier and Cinelli.
The bike is very rare as it was this type of bike was formerly used by the Viner supported elite youth squad. It is made with top quality Dedacciai aluminium called EM 2; This type of alloy has the same properties of scandium so is a super, top quality frameset. It is finished off with Viner’s unique RHF carbon fibre forks. These forks have a typical handbuilt look and finish to them and were hand crafted.
We have upgraded this bike with a number of items that include a set of Campagnolo made fulcrum 7 wheels mounted onto Campagnolo hubs that make a beautiful resonating sound when you spin them. We have matched a suitable quality pair of Vittoria Rubino pro tyres to enhance the ride. It also has an Italian Selle Italia SL women’s specific saddle that compliments the colours of the bike as well as a carbon fibre wrapped seatpost. The bike is comfortable, light and sporty. This particular model is fitted with a very high spec that makes the bike light as well as reliable since the parts we’ve used on it are of exceptional quality.
The total weight of this bike is less than 8kg;
The bike now features a short and shallow set of handlebars, shorter stem and short cranks with useable compact gearing.
Because of the bikes dimensions it would ideally suit a shorter rider. We have built the bike with a bespoke finish that would suit a person of approx 53. ( the dimensions of the bike would lend themselves to a rider of between 50 – 5`5; the bike has similar length top tube to seat tube like a lot of Italian manufacturers.)

The bike is currently embossed with a former owners name on the top tube. We have left this on there at present as the paint job is of very good quality. However, we have the facility to have this re-painted and/ or painted over. This is obviously a personal thing so the choice is yours. To have this professionally done would cost in the region of £125, in order to match the paint and quality. If you would like this done this cost would have to be added to the price of the bike.

In today’s market there are very few cycle manufacturers that can supply a bike with such dimensions or spec. To replicate this on a new bike would cost well in excess of £1,500 +.

The bike looks lovely in its white and red livery with matching coloured components that include the seatpost, saddle, bars & stem. There is a couple of marks on the forks and bodywork and a larger mark on the seat stay but other than that the bike is in very good order. The refurbishment outweighs any shortcomings.

Please note: This bike has been handbuilt from the frame up specifically to fit a woman. The parts and spec have been hand chosen to how we feel the bike should look and ride. We have built a number of these custom bikes but this one is our most unusual. The notable areas of the build are in the short stem, narrower bars, women’s specific saddle and shorter crank lengths. It’s often the case that Campagnolo shifters are much smaller and as such then offer a better reach for women’s hands. We have had many enquiries stating this and it’s for this reason ( as well as the bike being of Italian origin ) that we have spec’d it this way.

We have also spec’d a compact chainset and used a cassette with a larger range of gears. In order to create a bike with real Italian flair the bike consists mainly of Italian parts;
The spec is as follows;
